Basic SA String Info

Have you ever needed a basic list of all Super Alignments?  Well, I recently did and quickly whipped up a custom report template for the SA Report.

Basically, I needed a list of all Super Alignments in a model and in a format that could be easily pasted into an Excel spreadsheet (i.e. tab- or comma-delimited).  Here’s what it looks like when pasted into Excel.

This takes only the basic string info included in the normal SA Report template and prints it out on a single line per SA.  All of the horizontal and vertical geometry (HIPs, VIPs, VTPs, Segments, etc) that are normally part of these report templates are simply ignored.

This is one of the most basic report templates you can create and I will hopefully write a post in the future explaining how I created it.  Stay tuned!

To use the attached report template, you will need to save it to a standard 12d Model search directory (e.g. User_Lib) and add a custom report template.  Instructions for doing so can be found in the first post in our Custom XML Reports series.
